Tour Highlights
Residential Area
Residential Area

After an elaborate instruction and practice ride, the tour starts at a leisurely pace through low traffic roads in residential (and beautiful) neighborhoods of Curacao, giving you a taste of the real Curacao. We will have a picture stop at the sign post for a dramatic view of the eastern side of the island. On most days, you can easily see the neighboring island of Bonaire and the mountains of Venezuela - a truly spectacular view.

Aloe Vera Plantation
Aloe Vera Plantation

The tour continues to the Aloe Vera Plantation, where we receive a brief explanation about this unique farm and its products. After this it is a brief ride to the location of the first break: the Ostrich Farm, for beverages and restrooms.

Exploring rough terrain
Exploring rough terrain

Continuing off road, the tour takes us eastward to the St. Joris Bay. The terrain get a little rough now and then, but can still be easily managed by all drivers. Throughout the tour, the tour guide will provide coaching and instructions about how to handle each type of terrain. Along the way the tour guide will also provide ample explanation about the unique flora and history of this part of the island.

St. Joris Bay
St. Joris Bay

St. Joris Bay is an inlet in the rough North Coast of the island and the habitat of many sea turtles, which can usually be easily spotted coming up for air - even by the untrained eye. The wild North Coast always offers stunning sights of waves crashing onto the rocks.

Hidden Treasure
Hidden Treasure

The "hidden treasure" of this part of the trip is an (optional) visit to a cave even most locals have never visited. The cave lies above the ground on one of the higher plains of the island - guaranteed to take your breath away. For the more adventurous among us there is the possibility to climb to the next plain for even more awe-inspiring views.

Scherpenheuvel monastery
Scherpenheuvel monastery

The trail will take us back to the coastline along the Wind Mill farm, towards a small beach, not often frequented by tourist: Playa Kanoa. This is the location of the second break. The last leg of the trip takes us back to the starting point via the Scherpenheuvel monastery.
